{"id":8830,"date":"2022-04-15T12:43:33","date_gmt":"2022-04-15T10:43:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kustwacht.nl\/?post_type=faq&#038;p=8830"},"modified":"2022-11-25T10:10:06","modified_gmt":"2022-11-25T09:10:06","slug":"where-to-register-your-vessels-movements-through-the-gulf-of-aden","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/kustwacht.nl\/en\/faq\/where-to-register-your-vessels-movements-through-the-gulf-of-aden\/","title":{"rendered":"Where to register your vessel&#8217;s movements through the Gulf of Aden"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>When passing through the Gulf of Aden, shipowners are advised to :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Notify the Maritime Security Centre \u2013 Horn of Africa (MSCHOA) via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mschoa.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.mschoa.org<\/a> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Notify the United Kingdom Marine Trade Operations (UKMTO) via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ukmto.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.ukmto.org<\/a> (see also BMP version 5).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Send a copy of the notification form to the Coastguard at <a href=\"mailto:mi&#107;-&#110;l&#64;&#107;ust&#119;a&#99;&#104;&#116;.&#110;l\">&#109;i&#107;-nl&#64;k&#117;s&#116;&#119;acht.&#110;&#108;<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>European Union mission<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Operation Atalanta is a European Union (EU) mission to contribute to the deterrence, prevention and repression of acts of piracy and armed robbery off the Somali coast. The EU has set up the website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mschoa.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.mschoa.org<\/a>, which provides a lot of information, recommendations and other details on piracy around the Horn of Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Forms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The website also provides forms for registering vessel movements and for reporting incidents in the Gulf of Aden.
